The hardest part of trying to get my training business going has been sitting down to think about the”why” of it. Why do I want to do this? Why should you hire me? Answering these questions requires me to spend time engaging in a type of navel-gazing self reflection that took up way too much of my time when I was young and trying to figure out who I was. Later, I found that I was a lot happier by doing, and allowing the answers to my questions to come from my actions. But here we are. Why should you hire me? Why do I want to help you get stronger? Who am I? If my actions answer the questions, then I guess to start, I’m a guy who is quickly approaching my 50th birthday, and I’m still doing the thing I did best when I was 15: I’m showing up consistently in the gym, getting stronger. I’m better now than I was then because I’ve gotten so much wrong, that I had no choice but to learn to get it right.
